Aşkın Ataş was born on 15 October 1988 in Antalya, Turkey, and is the founder of Ataş Capital. Long before founding the firm, he had to make his own way in life from a very young age. Starting from nothing, his journey in commerce began early and carried him across many different sectors. He was always on the entrepreneurial side of business, building ventures in e-commerce, software, tourism, and ultimately technology. Even during his entrepreneurial years he was engaged with the stock market and followed it closely; but from 2020 onward he moved entirely to the investment side, becoming a full-time investor. He considers himself fortunate that a path many would regard as a difficult start gave him a genuine understanding of emerging sectors and the companies within them.
